Hope you're feeling better after yesterday's rigmarole. Those of you who are wondering about V's health, he appears to be unconscious, but stable thanks to those various people with medical knowledge who came to help. Thank you, all of you.
Milady, Alucard, Miss Seras, send me a message if you need help with anything, otherwise, you know where I'll be.
Mister Valentine, Miss Morris, Mister Townshend and Mister Sunderland and those helping keep the tunnels safe, I will come and relieve you on monster duty as soon as Miss Evey awakes. The poor girl needs her rest, so I'm not going to disturb her (I'm typing as quietly as I can). I'd like someone on guard duty here while I'm out as well, if you would.
To the rest of you who helped turn the clock back, thank you. You took a great responsibility and achieved a great thing, and some of you have sacrificed your home in building seven for it. Those left homeless, the Archangel Uriel seems to be offering you a place in Xanadu, unless that was just a product of yesterday's madness, which I doubt. Believe me, we will not let your, and V's sacrifices be in vain. The enemy is strong, and has power over us, but it is no longer power that will cow and dismay us.
Those of you who helped, and then saw what happened to our leader, and suddenly decided to slate his noble sacrifice, call him a fool, etc. thank you for your help, but damn your eyes for cowards, and don't let me see you ANYWHERE NEAR HIM. I also note with a certain amount of obvious schadenfreude that the Mad Gods appear to have been punished for their failure by being put under the same curse as the rest of you. Clearly our enemies have no sense of loyalty to their troops. Is that the side you want to be on?
Finally, we have won the battle, but not yet the war. However, the very fact that we have won the battle, proves that we CAN and WILL win the war. The living will escape to their homes, and the dead will achieve their final rest at last, no longer cynically used as fuel for a Machiavellian Doomsday Machine of universal proportions.
On that day, when we turned the clock back together, we showed that we will not submit quietly to the will of unknown beings. WE are the ones who power this city, WE are the ones who control it, AND WE WILL BE ITS DESTROYERS.
